Manor Farm Engineering

Model Engineering

As a keen Model Engineer (Immeadiate Past Chairman of the Bristol SMEE), I am aware that most model engineers are not as lucky as I am to have the extensive workshop facilities of Manor Farm Engineering at their disposal. Therefore, if you need something machining that is too big for your machine or you require something machining that would benefit from the accuracy, complexity or sheer boring repetition that CNC offers then give me a call - very reasonable rates!

If you live in the South West of the UK and would like to pop in to discuss your requirements, you would be more than welcome - but 'phone first to ensure that I will be here when you arrive.

Stuart Beam Engine

Video shows a very basic CAD model of an 'in progress' Stuart Beam engine which has been on my production line for more than four years now.....

Having recently bought a full sized Steam Launch I am not sure how many more years will be required to complete the Beam Engine.

If you are new to Model Engineering or you need a quick project to, say, introduce a young relative to the hobby why not try the Small Oscillating Engine which is not only quick to build but allows plenty of participation in the manufacturing process. Free plan download here. These plans were developed from an idea by Bristol SMEE member Trevor Chambers. www.bristolmodelengineers.co.uk for more info on our Society.
